Whole60, Day 2

I spent a good portion of my lunch hour prepping the cottage pie for dinner, and that makes the house a little warm!  Anyway, dinner was delicious, and worth the hard work.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading on losing weight and similar subjects, and one thing that I’m going to put into practice is not exercising.  I know this sounds totally counter-intuitive, but I read Gary Taubes’ Why We Get Fat, and up until the last century, the main methodology for losing weight was to cut carbs and not exercise.  The fact is, while there may be plenty of other reasons to exercise, losing weight isn’t one of them.

i’d been trying to get 10k steps in a day, and will still go for my walk and the dogs walk, because those are beneficial to me, mentally.  But I’ m not going to worry about running a 5k, or any other stuff at this point.

I would, however, like to start doing yoga, but I’m not going to beat myself up for not doing that either.

Where I am on the whole30 timeline: I want to eat ALL THE THINGS!  Brownies, cookies, ice cream, aie ya ya…
